Our Leadership Team

Pastor Todd, Senior Pastor  (email)

Pastor Todd has served Delphi UMC since 2001.  His heartbeat is about people trusting in Christ and then living out that kingdom ideal in their lives.  When everyone in the church loves enough to connect people with Jesus Christ by telling their story, to support families to pray and to grow in their faith, and to help those in distress; we will see the culture around us change.  He believes so much in Delphi UMC that the people decided to relocate in 2007, and in 2011 the new facility was completed.  He believes that this church has been placed here for a purpose, and every person who attends here is brought here for a purpose to serve and to receive help and encouragement in their spiritual journey.
Pastor Todd and his family love living in Delphi and the people in this church.  He and his wife, Rhonda, of 25 years, enjoy their children, Jordan, Elijah, and Hannah.
Pastor Micah, Associate Pastor and Director of Youth Ministry  (email)
Micah has served in Delphi since 2006.  He coordinates all of the activities for the 6th to 12th grade students in our church while providing communication with families and with the church of what God is doing.  He loves to work with the teens and their families during the many transitions in life.  He loves to laugh and to have fun, but he also loves to get serious about God in worship and in small group times.  He also loves to help with the computer and technology within the church.
Micah is married to Jen for 20+ years, and they have 3 children, Emily, Elijah, and Ella. During their free time, they love to play games, to take walks or bike rides.  In the summer, they like to load the vehicle with tents and a cooler, and see how many states that they can visit.  #crazyvacationstories
Ben Beeks, Associate Pastor of Worship Arts (email)
Ben officially came on board in June, 2019.  However, he has served in various capacities at Delphi UMC from youth leader to church intern since the summer of 2017.  The majority of Ben’s role on staff is to organize, facilitate and lead the contemporary service on Sundays, as well as some logistical responsibilities with the traditional service.  Ben is passionate about the importance of authentic, God-honoring worship and loves being able to help lead the congregation in that.  Ben says, “When we really engage in passionate worship, we are able to get just a glimpse of what heaven will be like.”
Ben graduated from Purdue in May of 2018 with a degree in Political Science.  During his time at Purdue, he was a part of the Glee Club and rediscovered a passion for singing and performing which is now serving him well.  He is currently enrolled at Asbury Theological Seminary, pursuing his Masters of Divinity.  When Ben isn’t working or studying for class, he enjoys a good game night, going for a run, or playing video games.
Nina German, Director of Children’s Outreach Events  (email)
Nina provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of the Father Daughter Dance in March and of the Fall Carnival in October of each year.  She also coordinates and provides leadership to Advent Angels in December and Vacation Bible School in the summer.
In this position, Nina loves to provide ways that people feel comfortable and safe in connecting to a church family. (It can be a very hard and scary thing to take that first step to connect with a church.) She loves to provide opportunities for people to build relationships with others in a smaller setting because this is so important for them to feel connected with a whole body. Most importantly, she desires to provide a way to lead children to Christ and for them to know, “No matter what happens in their life that God loves them and will always be there for them and that they are never alone”.
In her free time, Nina loves to spend time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. She also loves to go camping, and to visit and play games with friends. She loves the sunshine and being outside.  She loves mission work and serving others. She especially enjoys planning events and taking old discarded items and changing them into something new.
Sarah Cross, Director of Communications  (email)
Sarah came on staff in 2014 as the Communications Administrator.  She has a degree in Social Work and has experience in real estate and office management.  Sarah works in the church office dealing with the logistics of the church calendar, assisting the staff, and providing coordination and support for DUMC ministries and events. Sarah also serves on the Praise Team.

When Sarah and her family first walked into DUMC, they realized it was a church growing not just in numbers, but in faith.  They felt comfortable to come “as you are” and experienced a sense of community right from the start.  Sarah enjoys the energetic and modern music, the relevant Bible based messages, and the people she calls her church family.  When not at church, you will most likely find Sarah in her kitchen or trying to keep up with her active boys.

Ashley Duff, Director of Children’s Ministry  (email)
Ashley joined the Delphi UMC staff in 2014.  She coordinates teachers and lessons for children during Growth Point at 10am and Children’s Church during both services, as well as oversees the children’s area in general. She also directs the older children’s choir for 1st to 5th graders.
In children’s ministry, her desire is to connect children to Christ by providing a loving environment where they can be in fellowship with other children and encouraged by caring adults.   Her favorite part of this job is getting to know families and their children.  She would love to talk with you if you have any questions about our children’s programs and/or how your child can get involved.
Connie Hughes, Parish Nurse and Director of Congregational Care Ministry  (email)
Connie is instrumental in caring for our congregation through her being the Parish Nurse and the Prayer Coordinator.  She schedules monthly worship services at St Elizabeth Healthcare; oversees our Card Ministry; makes Prayer Room weekly assignments; schedules Congregational Care Visitation for those in hospital or having surgery; and initiates the Prayer Chain. Her passion is being able to minister to spiritual, emotional and physical health of our congregation, and she very much cares for our staff “like our mom”.
With decades of experience attending our church, Connie loves to witness the changes within our congregation—such as faith growth; caring attitudes; participation of many young people and their families; our involvement in community affairs; and most importantly the power of prayer and how this church was built on prayer and draws it strength on prayer.  In her free time, she loves to spend time in her kitchen cooking and baking; visiting with family and friends; having lunch with her special friends and “catching up”;  and traveling with her sister.
Ruth Miller, Church Membership Secretary (email)
Ruth considers it a privilege to come in and to minister to those who enter the church, many for the first time.  For most people, she is the first person that they see, and she wants the love of God to be evident in her words and actions. She loves helping others within our church and community.
She loves that God has chosen her to serve in this position, she finds great fulfillment from it.  If there is anything that she can do for you, please let her know at her email above.  Her joy and passion is serving those who love and search for a faith in Jesus.
Aaron Albitz, Facilities Manager (email)
Aaron has been serving Delphi UMC for several years.   He has a Servant’s Heart and keeps our facility going from event to event and each and every day.  He over-sees all facility needs including maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep. His vast knowledge of repairs, and the countless hours he spends to to go the extra mile, truly keeps this place running smoothly.
In Aaron’s spare time, he is not only busy with his family, but you might find him patrolling the woods during mushroom season to find those precious goldmines! We are blessed to have Aaron on our team!
Kathy Justice, Church Treasurer (email)
Kathy has faithfully served as our Bookkeeper for over 5 years at Delphi UMC.  She farms along side her husband Mark and their 2 daughters Morgan and Emily. She is also very busy in the community volunteering with 4H, coaching softball, and being a First Responder.  She does a great service in keeping the numbers in order at our church
Lupe Black, Nursery Coordinator
Hola ~ I’m Lupe Black. I’m a mom of 5 kiddos (I know, that’s a lot)! I work full time at SIA and on the side I’m slowly working on having a mini farm thanks to my wonderful husband, Keith! I have been attending Delphi UMC and serving in the nursery for over four years. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Terry Langston, Director of Adult Choir

Terry has been serving as the Adult Choir Director since January of 2019. She also coordinates the special music and selection of hymns for the Traditional service.  Music (voice and instrument) is a wonderful and important gift   from God. Psalm 95:1 says, “O come, let us sing unto the LORD!  Let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.  Don’t keep this gift to yourself, come and share by joining the choir.

Debbie Hyman, Director of Prayer Ministry
Debbie has served at DUMC since 1999. Her heart’s desire is to honor God and serve Him wherever He places her. For a few years she and her husband led short term mission trips to Jamaica from our church and for members of other churches. Her desire was for people to experience Jesus outside of the country and then for those people to come home and serve Him mightily in our churches and community. This was her training ground for prayer ministry. Uniting a team, coordinating all logistics, building homes, and traveling in a 3rd world country were all covered in prayer year after year. God answered prayer in miraculous ways!
Debbie accepted the Director of Prayer Ministry in July of 2019. Our church is a church of prayer but her desire is also for a church that places prayer first in the hearts and minds of its members as a way of life before plans and decisions are made in church and in daily life. Her desire is to always link prayer with God’s Word and to pray His inspired Word.

Debbie’s passion is studying the Bible by herself but better yet with a group of ladies. She loves to read in her leisure time, especially historical fiction. She and her husband Mike love to go camping together. They enjoy going to see new areas of our country plus abroad whether through mission trips or just pleasure trips. They have 3 grown children Eric, Andy, and Jana and 9 grandchildren. They adore their grandkids and enjoy watching the events that they participate in.
