WhaWorship service 2014t is available for my children?

We have a staffed nursery from 8:30am to 12:30pm for newborns up to age 3.  Our nursery is located down the south hallway (left hallway once you are in the Rotunda).  There is a sign-in and sign-out procedure, as well as a pager system to give to caregivers.

We have Growth Point at 10am for preschool (ages 3 to 5) and school aged (6 to 12) in the Children’s Area (called “The Children’s Tree House”).

We also have a Children’s Message as a part of every service where the children (ages 3 to 3rd grade) are welcome to go up front to the stage to hear a short message just for them.  After this message, the children have the option of going to the Children’s Area for the remainder of service for Children’s Church.  They are also welcome to go back to their seats to sit with you!  Click here to check out our Kid’s Ministry.  Twice a month we have a special message geared for 4th and 5th graders during the Worship Service.  This is called Grapple.  After the Children’s Message, Grapple kids are dismissed to go to their Grapple session.

What happens during worship?

Our Traditional Service is at 8:45 am and includes traditional hymns, Adult Choir, and Bell Choir.  The Lord’s Prayer is recited in unison at the end of prayer time and Doxology is sung at the end of offering.
Our Contemporary Service is at 11:00 am and includes songs heard on Christian radio stations, praise choruses, and a Praise Team band.
Both services include a Children’s Message.

How does the Congregation observe Communion?

We observe Communion in various ways.  Our 2 most used methods of serving Communion include: 1) Traditional–each person walks forward and sits in the front row and is served the communion elements of bread and juice.  2) Intinction–each person walks forward and is served a piece of bread to dip into the cup of juice.
Communion, or “The Lord’s Supper,” is open to anyone attending our service who desires to pursue Jesus with their life.  You do not have to be a member or our church in order to take communion!
