30 Hour Famine 2010
Scheduling a date right now! - Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Our Youth Ministry Team met last night . . .

We decided to move the date of the 30 HF for this year (for a few reasons), but mostly to give us a few more options with potentially warmer weather and to give us time to change up our venue!  We have gone to Camp Tecumseh for the past 4 years and are very grateful to our time spent there.  However, we have gotten comfortable there and the 30 HF is about being uncomfortable and learning what it is like for children everyday who experience hunger.

So, we are now looking at some dates in April 2010, and we are hoping to meet at Flora UMC.  We will say more announcements as the information becomes available!

World Vision's 30 Hour Famine, 2009

Saturday, February 21 through Sunday, 22 at Camp Tecumseh

We had 60 youth from Delphi and Flora/Bringhurst UM
churches gather at Camp Tecumseh for the 9th annual 30 Hour Famine!

Together, we raised over $5,000 for World Vision to help feed kids around the world who don't have food (26,000 kids under 5 die each day from preventable diseases, like hunger).

It was an awesome weekend.  Sinclair was our band on Saturday night, and Sheila Wilimitis was our speaker.

Thanks to Camp Tecumseh for allowing us to use their great facilities.

Thanks to the adults who chaperoned the weekend.

Thanks to everyone who donated towards this great cause!
