Music is a vital part of Sunday morning worship. It is a vehicle that allows the worshipers to express their deepest feelings of love, gratitude, thanksgiving, adoration and praise to God.
At DUMC our music is prepared and presented to the Lord for His glory.
In our traditional worship services the instrumentalists, choir members, soloists and ensemble members are encouraged to focus their efforts toward God and not the congregation. The people in the congregation are encouraged to worship the Lord and acknowledge His presence as they sing hymns and listen to the anthems and other music each week.
In our contemporary worship services our focus is the same. Soloists and ensemble members present their music to God. The Praise Team members sing and play from a heart of worship as they lead the congregation. The congregation responds with vibrant praise and sincere adoration as they “sing to the Lord a new song.”

Adult Choir:

Rehearses Wednesdayss from 7:00-8:00 PM

Sings 3 Sundays per month for the 8:45 AM Traditional Service

Rehearses Thursdays from 7 to 8:30pm.

Sings & plays every Sunday for the 11:00 AM Contemporary Service (Members used on a rotating schedule.) Members are auditioned and screened when there is an opening.
Bell Choir:
- Directed by Craig Wellnitz
- Rehearsse on Wednesdays from 6 to 7pm during the school year.
- Usually play once a month for the 8:45 AM Traditional Service
